NuVet® not only makes superior bone support products, but they make an excellent comprehensive multivivitamin which is great for dogs of all ages. NuVet® was founded in 1997 by 3 vets, a nutritional scientist, a pharmacist, and a physician. The company even took into account that dogs differ. Some are better having supplements mixed into their food while others like wafers. It comes in both forms.
Farming is not what it used to be. Crops are not rotated, many animals are fed corn, grains, and soy. Many products are not organic so they are ingesting pesticides. I don’t know of any dog food that is organic AND has fewer than 7 added vitamins AND that come from animals that are fed as they would eat in the wild. We do what we can do. Adding this supplement compensates for much of what is missing – even from the finest food (including my favorite (Barfworld).
Although I don’t like vitamins and minerals in dog food itself, this supplement is added to the diet. In other words, it is not THE diet. It is a healthy supplement to add to food (hence we call it a “supplement”). It includes whole foods as well as added vitamins, minerals, digestive enzymes and amino acids.

Alfalfa which is a prebiotic to aid in effective digestion and is an excellent source for contains fiber.
Shark Cartilage which supports healthy bones and muscles.
Cat’s Claw which is a peruvian herb that nourishes the immune system, enhances white blood cell formation and promotes cardiovascular health.
Blue-Green Algae which is packed with nutrients and excellent for the immune system. It purifies the blood, promotes intestinal regularity, and stabilizes blood sugar levels.
Chicken Liver which is packed with nutrients. It promotes a healthy nervous system, helps maintain proper digestion, tissue development, and the production of healthy red blood cells.
Like their bone supplements, NuVet Plus’® immune system supplement is remade in an FDA registered pharmaceutical lab following GMP standards. The quality of their ingredients surpasses the majority of human grade supplements. What is a sly trick is when manufacturers state that their product is “made” in the USA, but they don’t mention the sourcing or the country of origin. Many manufacturers source their vitamin premixes from China. NuVet® sources their dog supplement ingredients from the USA.
When a company states that their ingredients are sourced in the USA, it is not always accurate. They can make that claim even when the country of origin is from outside the USA. Sourcing can sometimes mean that the manufacturing plant where the ingredients are located and processed is located in the USA and the company sources their ingredients from a facility located in the USA. The key is knowing the country of origin of the ingredients. NuVet’s® ingredients are originated in the USA.
Many products on the market are processed by baking which kills the nutrients. As a result, dogs cannot benefit from such supplements.

Their flavoring is the actual liver that is in their product! That is natural AND healthy.
